The box contained old letters, photos, and a journal revealing that Marie wasn\u2019t Antoine\u2019s biological mother. After an affair with Antoine\u2019s father, she chose to raise him to protect their family\u2019s reputation. The journal also mentioned a significant inheritance from Antoine\u2019s biological mother, which Pierre and Marie had been trying to claim for themselves.<\/p>\n
Stunned, I asked, \u201cWhat will you do?\u201d<\/p>\n
Antoine sighed, \u201cI need to confront them, but I want to be careful. I\u2019ll consult a lawyer and keep a close eye on their actions.\u201d<\/p>\n
I squeezed his hand. \u201cWe\u2019ll face this together.\u201d<\/p>\n
We spent the next few days making plans, deciding to keep the secret while observing Pierre and Marie. We knew that our love and unity would help us navigate the challenges ahead.<\/p>\n
As we left the hospital, Antoine and I shared a determined smile. \u201cNo matter what happens, we\u2019ve got this,\u201d I said.<\/p>\n
