\u201cIt\u2019s not a joke,\u201d he replied. \u201cWe thought it was time for a change. You should dress more\u2026 feminine.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWho gave you the right to give away my clothes?\u201d I shouted, feeling betrayed. Earl chimed in, suggesting Eliza would appreciate a more feminine mom.<\/p>\n
Their reasoning infuriated me. I grabbed my car keys and stormed out, determined to talk to Paula.<\/p>\n
When I explained what happened, she was outraged. \u201cHow dare they give away your clothes!\u201d she exclaimed.<\/p>\n
Paula had a plan. That evening, we returned to my house together, both wearing pink dresses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI found out what you did to Alice,\u201d she confronted him. \u201cYou think you can dictate what women wear?\u201d<\/p>\n
Before they could respond, she pulled out matching pink tuxedos for Blake and Earl.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom now on, I expect you both to wear these for Sunday dinner,\u201d she said firmly.<\/p>\n
Earl looked like he might faint. \u201cYou can\u2019t be serious!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is happening,\u201d Paula insisted, placing the tuxedos down. \u201cAfter all, it\u2019s free shopping. Your old clothes are going to charity.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then she began listing their favorite items around the house to replace, aligning them with their “masculine tastes.”<\/p>\n
Blake and Earl were stunned and knew they had crossed a line.<\/p>\n
Long story short, they never dared to touch my closet again. I donated the pink dresses after Paula made them pay for my new clothes, and I enjoyed a shopping spree with her, restocking my wardrobe with the comfy styles I loved.<\/p>\n
