\u201cReady or not, here I come!\u201d Simon called out, racing upstairs. He soon spotted Charlie\u2019s shoes peeking out from behind the table.<\/p>\n

Simon shook his head. \u201cBut how? We\u2019re just kids.\u201d<\/p>\n
Charlie clenched his fists. \u201cWe have to do something!\u201d<\/p>\n
Without thinking, Simon tore the papers in half. They didn\u2019t know how to fix the problem, but they knew they had to try.<\/p>\n
When their parents, Lena and George, came home, Simon and Charlie watched closely. There was a heavy tension in the air. George muttered about the missing papers, which Charlie recognized instantly.<\/p>\n

Downstairs, George discovered the printer empty. \u201cWe\u2019re out of paper,\u201d he said, surprise evident.<\/p>\n
Lena\u2019s frustration boiled over. \u201cJust print new ones!\u201d<\/p>\n
The boys listened as George pleaded with Lena, reminding her of their family. \u201cThink about the kids,\u201d he urged.<\/p>\n
\u201cEverything feels like a dull routine,\u201d Lena replied, her voice trembling.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I love you. I want to fix this,\u201d George said, desperation in his tone.<\/p>\n
Lena hesitated, her resolve softening. \u201cMaybe we didn\u2019t try hard enough,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n
\u201cCan we at least try? For us? For the boys?\u201d George pressed gently.<\/p>\n
Lena nodded, wiping away tears. \u201cI guess we can try\u2026 for the boys.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the shadows, Simon and Charlie exchanged relieved glances. They watched their parents embrace, realizing neither wanted the divorce; they just hadn\u2019t known how to reach each other.<\/p>\n
With hope blossoming, Simon nudged Charlie with a grin. They had managed to stop something terrible. It wouldn\u2019t be easy for their parents, but at least now, there was hope.<\/p>\n
