The next day, I received a $695 invoice from Janet for a new coat. \u201cIf she wants to play it this way, fine,\u201d I thought. I calculated the cost of storing her items for five years, totaling $9,000, and created an invoice for her \u201cstorage\u201d at our house.<\/p>\n
A week later, Greg showed up to collect the remaining items, avoiding eye contact. The guest room was finally empty, and we transformed it into a nursery.<\/p>\n
