Finally, she nodded. \u201cOkay.\u201d<\/p>\n
When social services arrived, Lily ran to her mother. \u201cMommy!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m here, baby,\u201d Gloria whispered, holding her tightly.<\/p>\n
After discussions, it was decided: Lily would stay with me temporarily. Relief washed over me.<\/p>\n
