\nWoman asked what Jack was offering. Jack told her he doesn\u2019t know. It just didn\u2019t feel right for Jack when he saw her in that condition. The woman told Jack that cheating husbands are not right, and then added, \u201cBut you don\u2019t strike me as someone who knows much about that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack asked if she had a place to stay for the night, and the woman hesitated before saying no.<\/p>\n
\u201cLook, I have a garage. Well, it\u2019s more like a guest house. You could stay there until you get back on your feet.\u201d<\/p>\n
Then the woman told Jack that she doesn\u2019t take charity. Jack told the woman that it was not a charity, and that he offered a place to stay. The woman, whose name is Lexi, told him that only for a night.<\/p>\n
Lexi stayed in Jack\u2019s garage for few days, but something in her was pulling Jack to her.<\/p>\n

\nOne night, while they were eating, Lexi revealed that she was an artist. She had a small gallery but then everything fell apart after her husband left her for a younger woman.<\/p>\n
In one afternoon, Jack opened the garage door without knocking it. Then he was shocked with what he saw. Liza made dozens of paintings of Jack in the garage.<\/p>\n
But they were not simple portraits. There were chains on his neck, and in some of them he was bleeding out of his eyes. In one of them he was lying in a casket.<\/p>\n
Before she noticed Jack, he left the room. His heart skipped a beat. At the evening, while they were eating, Jack asked about the paintings.<\/p>\n

\nWhen Lexi heard that, she went pale. Jack asked if she was seeing him as a monster, and wanted an explanation.<\/p>\n
Lexi then revealed that she was angry that she lost everything, and Jack had everything. This was her way of letting it out of her.<\/p>\n
She apologized for painting Jack as a villain.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s time for you to go,\u201d Jack said, as he wanted to forgive her, but he couldn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

\nOn the next day, Jack helped Lexi to pack, and gave her some money which Lexi hesitated to take it.<\/p>\n
Few weeks passed. Jack found a package on his door. In it, there was a serene portrait of him and a note from Lexi, where she left her phone number.<\/p>\n
Jack called her and told her that the moment he saw the new portrait, he was ready to forgive her and wanted to talk about what happened over dinner, which Lexi gladly accepted.<\/p>\n
