\u201cSplit up? Tell me, John, that you\u2019re not serious. Nicky exclaimed, hoping to live \u201clike a free man,\u201d when her husband declared he wanted a divorce. Declaring her a \u201cdead goat,\u201d John grinned and demanded a just portion of their possessions. \u201cDo you really think I\u2019ll let you off the hook this easily?\u201d Nicky shot back, refusing to give him any money or sign the papers.<\/p>\n

John mocked Nicky as he left, using their shared savings for a trip to Mexico. \u201cIt\u2019s up to you to decide whether to divorce me voluntarily or keep fighting to make ends meet,\u201d he mocked. He reappeared two months later, pleading for pardon. \u201cI met Madison, a young girl. She stole from me! He admitted, \u201cShe stole all of my money.\u201d It was all a set-up, Nicky disclosed, as Maddison was her friend\u2019s daughter who assisted in gathering proof of John\u2019s adultery.<\/p>\n

\u201cTake your bags, and get out of here quick!\u201d Nicky bellowed. He received nothing from her divorce. Nicky was backed by their kids, who made fun of John for his treachery.<\/p>\n

John\u2019s plot to gain freedom by deceit backfired miserably. Nicky\u2019s faithfulness was rewarded with adultery following 47 years of marriage. But using a cunning scheme, she turned the tables by getting Maddison to set up a trap for John. Nicky refused to give in and got a divorce on her terms when he came back broke and pleading for forgiveness.
