In an honest interview with One America News Network, he said that her going into the country was like \u201ca dog peeing on a tree\u201d to show that it was its territory. \u201cLike a dog in a dog park, they need to leave their mark.\u201d \u201cEvery dog has to mark every tree, right?\u201d he asked, not pleased by her trip into the country.<\/p>\n

Even though there was backlash, reviewers loved Texas Hold \u2018Em. Reviewers of the song loved how real it was, how fun it was, and how amazing Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s voice was. It was even named #192 on Rolling Stone\u2019s list of the 200 best country songs ever. That being said, why didn\u2019t the CMA recognize Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s success?<\/p>\n
Why Kelly Clarkson felt bad about the snub<\/p>\n
Beyonc\u00e9 has had problems with country music before, so this isn\u2019t the first time. A lot of people remember her 2016 CMA show with The Chicks, where they sang \u201cDaddy Lessons\u201d from her Lemonade album. This caused a lot of debate and criticism online.<\/p>\n
It was disgusting for them to treat her that way, Natalie Maines of The Chicks said about the event.<\/p>\n

Shaboozey, who worked with Cowboy Carter and had two nominations for the CMAs and played at the gala, praised Beyonc\u00e9 for adding something new to the country genre.<\/p>\n
