With five children, moving to a new place might be a little frightening because everything is unfamiliar, including the people, places, and way of life.<\/p>\n
When Sharaine Carabello, 32, and her husband Wilson, 42, relocated from Texas to Pawtucket, Rhode Island, they experienced this. Since they were the only Black family in the community and had no idea what the future contained, they were particularly concerned about being accepted.<\/p>\n

Before they unexpectedly received help from their 82-year-old neighbor, Paul Callahan, the Caraballo family was concerned about fitting in at their new neighborhood. Paul, who had lost his wife not long ago, welcomed them. They developed a unique bond when he offered to help fix up their house and brought tools.<\/p>\n
Sharaine Carabello of USA Today claims that Paul was like family while she was a manager at Texas Instruments. They invited him to family get-togethers and assisted him with handyman chores to help him get through a very trying time. Paul became the Caraballo children\u2019s honorary grandfather as their relationship deepened.<\/p>\n

Paul became a vital component of the Caraballo family\u2019s everyday routine, doing more than merely mending damaged items around the house. By keeping the kids happy, telling them stories, and spending nearly every day with them, he earns the nickname \u201cGrandpa\u201d and becomes their favorite person.<\/p>\n
