\u201cStand back!\u201d he shouted, performing the Heimlich maneuver. After a few sharp blows, a chunk of apple flew from Sylvester\u2019s mouth, and he gasped for air.<\/p>\n
Sylvester looked up at Martin, wide-eyed. \u201cYou\u2026 saved me,\u201d he wheezed.<\/p>\n
Martin helped him to his feet. \u201cAre you okay, sir?\u201d<\/p>\n
Sylvester nodded. \u201cI can\u2019t believe it. After how I treated you yesterday\u2026 Why did you help me?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was the right thing to do,\u201d Martin replied.<\/p>\n
Sylvester, tears in his eyes, apologized. \u201cI was horrible to you. Please, let me make it up to you. Anything! Name your price!\u201d<\/p>\n
Martin thought for a moment. \u201cJust the $7 from yesterday. That\u2019s all I want.\u201d<\/p>\n
