One even sent a patch for Naima and me, embroidered with a heart and the words \u201cKeep the Kindness Going.\u201d<\/p>\n
So we did.<\/p>\n
That spring, our troop teamed up with Delphine\u2019s pantry. We started a program where for every box sold during our next cookie season, we\u2019d donate one. We called it \u201cCookies for Kindness.\u201d And somehow, we ended up selling nearly three times more than the year before.<\/p>\n
But the best part?<\/p>\n
At our final booth sale that season, a guy came by. He was dressed a little more casual this time\u2014baseball cap pulled low, no big stack of cash this round. But I knew it was him. His smile gave it away.<\/p>\n
He didn\u2019t say anything flashy. Just bought two boxes of Tagalongs, gave us a quick nod, and said, \u201cY\u2019all keep doing good things, okay?\u201d<\/p>\n
