He looked away, blinking rapidly, as if trying to keep his emotions in check.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what to say,\u201d he whispered.<\/p>\n

He did.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s been three months now, and he\u2019s become my most reliable worker. The customers love him, the staff respects him, and\u2014most importantly\u2014he believes in himself again. With his first real paycheck, he put down a deposit on a small rental room. He\u2019s no longer sleeping on the streets.<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t change his life\u2014he did that himself. All he needed was a chance.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re so quick to judge people based on where they are, without ever asking how they got there. But sometimes, all it takes is one person to believe in you.<\/p>\n
