Gran, in search of a beautiful dress for my big day, visited a local high-end boutique. The assistant, a young woman with a condescending attitude, greeted Gran with a sneer. \u201cCan I help you?\u201d she asked, clearly unimpressed.<\/p>\n

Gran, ever polite, replied, \u201cYes, I\u2019m looking for a dress for my granddaughter\u2019s wedding.\u201d<\/p>\n

The assistant’s response was both rude and dismissive. \u201cFor you? Good luck finding something that won\u2019t look like a tent. Our dresses are for more, uh, modern figures. But go ahead, try if you must.\u201d<\/p>\n

You\u2019re way out of your league here. Perhaps consider losing some weight before embarrassing yourself in stores like this.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gran was mortified and left the shop feeling heartbroken. She didn’t want to worry me, but I could see how upset she was when she told me what happened. I was furious and knew I had to take action.<\/p>\n

I tracked down the shop owner on social media and sent her a message:<\/p>\n

\u201cHi, I\u2019m Leighton. I\u2019m writing to complain about one of your employees who was incredibly rude to my grandmother when she came to shop for a dress.
