The 1000-Lb. Sisters actress recently declared that, since starting her journey, she had shed 500 pounds in total.<\/p>\n

In a TikTok video from August 17th, synced to the motivational music \u201cRise Up\u201d by Andra Day, Tammy responds to a shot that shows her and six other \u201cweight loss warriors\u201d entering the screen. On-screen lettering highlights each person\u2019s weight loss as they move. The video demonstrates that the buddies shed 2,078 pounds together as they raised each other in tandem and clasped hands.<\/p>\n

\u201cTruly absolutely amazing ladies, and I\u2019m happy to call y\u2019all all my friends,\u201d the 38-year-old wrote alongside the clip. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of each and every one of y\u2019all. Not only are you beautiful on the inside, but you\u2019re gorgeous on the outside. Never forget.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tammy, who co-stars with her sister Amy Slaton Halterman in the TLC series 1000-Lb. Sisters, has shared details about her health struggle since the show\u2019s premiere in January 2020. After undergoing bariatric surgery in July 2022 and spending 14 months in a weight loss rehab center, Tammy has persisted in sharing her weight loss journey on social media and on TV. By December 2023, Tammy had shed forty-eight pounds.<\/p>\n

She not only shares her weight reduction story but also discusses how the experience has improved her mental health.<\/p>\n

\u201cBefore I went to rehab, I was just bitter, unhappy, and very suicidal depressed,\u201d she said in a February TikTok. \u201cI personally have seen a lot of growth within myself and how I treat people and my family. And just my attitude and how happy I seem. I smile a lot more.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alongside such advancement, the reality star also commemorated other achievements.<\/p>\n

\u201cI actually got on rides [at Disney World.] And I rode in a hot air balloon,\u201d Tammy continued. \u201cI value life now, where before I hated it. I hated everything about life.\u201d<\/p>\n

She posted a photo of herself at the pool with her friend, psychic medium Haley Michelle, a few months later, in April. Her openness in sharing her tale has also touched her fans. As one person commented, \u201cHoly wow! The transformation is incredible! I am so happy to see how far you have come. I may have cried a little.\u201d<\/p>\n
