Leona arrived and recommended installing security cameras and increasing patrols. I was too anxious to sleep, so I spent hours researching security systems. By morning, I called a security company, explaining the urgency. They managed to fit me in within two hours.<\/p>\n
As the security team installed the cameras, Leona returned. \u201cThe liquid in the bottle is a corrosive used to weaken locks. Your home was likely the next target.\u201d<\/p>\n
I felt a wave of relief mixed with fear. \u201cWhat about Ravi? Should I talk to him?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you see him, yes. Be careful,\u201d Leona advised.<\/p>\n
Just then, Ravi pulled up to my neighbor\u2019s house. I approached him. \u201cHey, got a minute?\u201d<\/p>\n
Ravi looked nervous. \u201cI saw some guys messing with your trash. I wanted to warn you but was scared.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThank you,\u201d I said, my voice thick with gratitude. \u201cYou might have saved my family.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ravi relaxed. \u201cReally? You\u2019re not mad?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, not at all. I owe you.\u201d<\/p>\n
As Ravi drove away, I felt both grateful and uneasy. The threat wasn\u2019t over, but knowing we had support made me feel less alone.
