Yesterday, they dumped my laundry on the floor to do their own. They eat our food, leave dirty dishes everywhere, and hog all the hot water. I\u2019ve had cold showers for days, and they haven\u2019t contributed to the snack fund!\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandra\u2019s heart ached for her daughter. \u201cI\u2019m so sorry, honey. We\u2019ll figure this out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sandra discovered that Abigail\u2019s frustrations were shared by two other roommates, Ella and Danielle. With the lease ending and the troublesome roommates, Tess and Rachel, planning a camping trip with their boyfriends, Sandra saw an opportunity for action.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ll be gone from Friday to Sunday evening,\u201d Abigail said, hope in her voice. Sandra and the girls crafted a plan to take advantage of their absence. \u201cWe need to teach them a lesson,\u201d Sandra declared.<\/p>\n

When the couples left, Sandra, Abigail, Ella, and Danielle moved swiftly. They packed up Tess and Rachel\u2019s belongings\u2014furniture, dishes, and personal items\u2014into boxes. \u201cAnything they haven\u2019t contributed to or used should go,\u201d Sandra said. They also removed the shower curtain and the new broom and dustpan.<\/p>\n

Sandra brought a locked cupboard from home to store the shared supplies\u2014detergents, toilet paper, and other essentials. \u201cWe\u2019ll keep these in the cupboard. You can unlock it when you need them.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Tess and Rachel returned, they were shocked to find their belongings gone. Their furious texts demanded answers. Sandra laughed as Abigail forwarded the messages. \u201cYou should have seen their faces,\u201d Abigail said.<\/p>\n

Their texts were filled with anger, especially since they returned from their trip sick. Abigail\u2019s reply was simple: \u201cYou were camping. You probably missed our messages. Sorry, not sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The disruption forced Tess and Rachel to move out earlier than planned, relocating with their boyfriends. \u201cDani saw them at the store looking exhausted,\u201d Abigail said, relieved.<\/p>\n

Sandra was pleased. \u201cGood riddance. They needed to learn a lesson. I bet the boys are having their own chaos.\u201d<\/p>\n

With Tess and Rachel gone, Abigail and her friends were finally able to enjoy their home. They were getting new roommates who were a better fit. Sandra\u2019s decisive action restored peace and taught a valuable lesson in respect.<\/p>\n
