“I didn\u2019t do anything. Sounds like karma is catching up to you,” I replied.<\/p>\n
Charles had been trying to reach Elizabeth to discuss dinner plans. During our confrontation, he overheard everything and realized the affair. He ended the friendship with Richard and withdrew his investments, leading to Richard’s financial collapse.<\/p>\n
Later, Charles called me, offering a promotion to lead designer. “You won\u2019t have to rely on Richard\u2019s money,” he said.<\/p>\n
