Two years ago, Adriana Lima gave birth to her third child. Fans were happy for the model, but noted with pity how much her appearance had changed.Lately, body positivity has been a popular topic in society. However, it is still difficult for people to truly accept those who differ from the standards. Adriana Lima felt this especially acutely. Fans simply could not forgive the former Victoria’s Secret angel for the changes in her appearance after the birth of her third child.
After giving birth, the supermodel developed a double chin and her waistline began to float, which caused a whole campaign of bullying on the Internet. Despite the haters, Adriana continued to go out in public, not hiding her juicy figure under layers of clothing. The model even managed to star in a perfume advertising campaign.
“Every day I have to remind myself that I am human. My body is changing because I had a baby, and every body reacts differently to pregnancy,” Lima responded to criticism of her appearance.
While ill-wishers pointed out the flaws in the supermodel’s figure, she was quietly recovering. And just the other day, she stunned the public with a new appearance. The star, who celebrated her 43rd birthday in the summer, began to look like she did in the early years of her career.Lima returned to her previous shape and showed off her sharp cheekbones and sunken cheeks at the premiere of the film “The Thicket”. It took the star quite a while to lose weight, but she apparently achieved such results without any injections.
For two years, Adriana did not stop doing sports and sticking to a healthy diet. However, she did it without the same fanaticism. The model admitted that she did not want to torture herself with diets. Lima was able to find a balance between motherhood and self-care.
“I can only do active types of fitness,” Adriana revealed her beauty secrets. “The gym, where everything is rather slow, is not my thing, so I alternate between boxing and running. I do it for no more than 45 minutes, that’s enough for me, and not every day. My norm is a boxing day, then a running day, then a day without fitness. So I work out four days a week and rest three. If I need to lose weight (yes, it happens), I switch to daily workouts. I have learned over the years: it’s not the duration of the workout that matters, but its regularity. You will lose weight faster if you work out every day for 30 minutes than 1.5 hours, but twice a week.”
