Tammy Slaton, star of the US reality TV show “1000 Pound Sisters,” has shared details about the “amazing changes in her life” as she continues her weight loss journey, according to Express. At 37, Tammy has impressed fans by losing 440 Ibs and adopting a new mindset. Her significant weight loss required a complete wardrobe overhaul as her clothes became too large. Notably, she can now walk independently for the first time in years.
Tammy’s initial weight was a dangerous 700 Ibs, but after undergoing bariatric surgery, she now weighs 280 Ibs. This current weight is her lowest since her teenage years. “I was so worried about that figure, but I have lost more than 100 Ibs in six months. The last time I weighed that low I was about 15, 16 years old. I freaking really did it,” Tammy shared with excitement.
Despite the significant weight loss resulting in excess saggy skin, Tammy remains optimistic about potential plastic surgery to address it.
Fans have showered Tammy with positive comments, praising her transformation and the positive change in her attitude and behavior. “Just watched all the seasons and wow, Tammy has completely changed,” one fan remarked. Another noted, “She looks completely different on the outside but her attitude and behavior in everything seems to have taken on a more positive side. Honestly, I haven’t cried that much,” while another added, “Sometimes the most stubborn people end up being the most successful.”
Amy and Tammy Slaton are sisters who struggle with obesity and seek help from a bariatric surgeon. They run a popular YouTube channel, which is their primary source of income due to their inactive lifestyles. Now, the Kentucky sisters are determined to lose weight to qualify for surgery and transform their lives. The reality show, which began airing in January 2020, chronicles their weight loss journey, as well as their emotions, doubts, and fears.
