Boss Sees Scar on His Cleaning Lady and Tearfully Throws Himself into Her Arms

Caleb, 29, sat in his office on a busy Monday morning, reviewing the annual report. Suddenly, Michelle, a janitor in her late 50s, walked in with cleaning supplies.

“Excuse me, Sir…I didn’t mean to disturb you,” she said nervously.

Caleb looked up, struck by her resemblance to his late mother, who had died 28 years ago.

“Oh my God…this is unbelievable,” he gasped. “Please, come in.”

“I’m Michelle. I just started here,” she replied. “Maybe you’ve seen me around?”

“I don’t think so, but you look so familiar,” Caleb said, reaching for his coffee and accidentally spilling it on his laptop.

“Don’t worry, Sir. I’ll clean it up,” Michelle said, dropping the mop. As she wiped his laptop, Caleb noticed a scar on her arm.

“How did you get that scar?” he asked.

“It’s strange. I have amnesia. I don’t remember much, but I adopted the name ‘Michelle’ after seeing it on a billboard,” she explained.

Caleb’s heart raced. “You look a lot like my mother… She had the same scar. Can we take a DNA test? I want to find out if we’re related.”

Michelle agreed, and they drove to the City Hospital in silence, both anxious about what the test might reveal.

Twelve years ago, Caleb discovered a crumpled photograph of a woman and a baby in the attic.

“Who is she?” he asked his father, William. “This says ‘Caleb with Mommy.’”

William turned pale. “Your birth mother died 28 years ago.”

Caleb felt shattered. “How?”

“A car accident,” William replied, grief-stricken.

Back in the present, Caleb drove nervously with Michelle. At the hospital, they requested a DNA test. Hours later, the nurse confirmed a maternity rate of 99.99%.

“You are my MOTHER!” Caleb exclaimed, throwing himself into her arms.

Afterward, they returned to William’s house. “Are you ready?” Caleb asked Michelle.

“Yes!” she replied.

Michelle knocked on the door. William opened it, stunned.

“Jennifer?” he gasped.

“No, I’m Michelle,” she said, smiling.

“Amnesia?” William stuttered.

Michelle nodded. “Can I offer you coffee?” he asked, inviting her in.

“Sure!” she said, but felt an unsettling familiarity. She turned on the light, startling William.

“You found the switch?” he asked, astonished.

“Uh…this place feels familiar,” she said nervously, deciding to leave.

“Wait!” William called, but she slipped out.

Back in Caleb’s car, she said, “That was close!”

In the early morning, Caleb watched as William approached Michelle’s house. William climbed to the balcony and entered her bedroom with a knife. Police burst in.

“You’re under arrest!” they shouted.

In the interrogation room, William confessed to a crime committed 28 years ago. He had pushed Jennifer off a cliff during a family picnic, believing she had died, unaware she had survived.
