Jared was outside of his grandmother, Granny Patricia’s mansion. Patricia was giving some flowers to Jared’s fiance, Linda. She turned and said something to Jared, but he wasn’t listening so only nodded his head with a fake smile.

Patricia was blind, and she was explaining to Linda how she is finding the flowers she was searching for and how they were smelling. Then Jared wanted a glass of water from Linda, as he wanted to talk with Patricia in private.

As Linda went to the kitchen, he yelled at his grandma and wanted her to stay away from Linda, and stop giving her ideas. Patricia was set back, as she stated that she was only trying to help. “DON’T!” Jared yelled.

When Linda returned, Jared smiled at her and Patricia stated that she was tired and she wanted to sleep a little bit. She excused herself to her bedroom. She cried in there.Patricia was blaming herself, because she raised him after he lost his parents when he was 13.Before Patricia went to her bedroom, Linda stopped her and brought a cake. She told her that someone sent her. Patricia was receiving cakes weekly from an unknown person for months. They were great, and Patricia was happy to receive.

There was a note on it for “Granny Pat,” but no one would call her that. Linda asked that maybe the person was from her past.

On the next day, when they were alone, Jared stated that he doesn’t want Patricia in his wedding. Patricia was terribly upset with what she heard. “It’s for the best if you just stay home, Granny,” Jared said.

She accepted to stay away for her grandson’s happiness. As she was sitting alone in her garden, Karen approached to her. She offered her to take a walk at the park. Karen was her neighbour’s daughter.

They talked for hours about their lives. Karen talked about her mother and Patricia listened her. They slowly started to hear music sounds. Then she heard Jared’s voice. He was mad that Patricia was at the wedding. He accused her with stealing spotlight from Linda.

But Linda was happy that Patricia came to the wedding. Jared faked a smile and then turned Patricia. “I’m so happy she’s here,” he said.

Then the dance started. While Jared was spinning Linda, he saw Patricia on the dance floor with Karen. That was it for Jared. He rushed towards Patricia, and grabbed Patricia’s arm. He yelled that she should stay at home and not ruin his wedding.

People gasped as they weren’t expecting this response from Jared. Patricia lost her balance after Jared grabbed her arm, and she fell to the ground.

“Granny Pat!” Karen helped her to stand back up. When Patricia heard that she was shocked with realization. “Are you the one who’s been bringing me cakes?” She asked.

Then Karen revealed the truth about the cakes. She stated that the kind actions should stay silent.

Then Patricia hugged Karen. And there, she stated that she will give half of her inheritance to her, and the rest to a charity. Jared was shocked. He was her flesh and blood.

Patricia told Jared that he was not treating her as if she was his flesh and blood. She told him to get his belongings in three days, or she would have them thrown outside.
