Second Body Found: 7-Year-Old Kid Dies After Explosion In Newcastle

The name of the seven-year-old kid who perished in a Newcastle explosion has been revealed.

In remembrance of the youngster, his family has given the seven-year-old who passed away the name Archie York
Another body has also been discovered; it is thought to be that of a man in his 30s.

“Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the two people who have tragically lost their lives,” a Northumbria Police spokesperson stated.
“Specialist officers are supporting their loved-ones and we would urge everyone to respect their privacy at this time.”

Early on October 16, emergency personnel were rushed to the location of the explosion, which took place in the Newcastle neighborhoods of Benwell and Elswick.

Five adults and a kid were among the six other persons who were hospitalized due to the incident, but all but one have been released from treatment.

A man in his 30s who was in a serious but stable condition was the only patient not released from the hospital, Northumbria Police confirmed to PA.

They went on to say that the explosion was not linked to any missing persons cases.

Superintendent Darren Adams, who spoke at the site yesterday, said: “I come before you today with deep sorrow over the untimely death of a small boy.”

“As a result of the incident in the early hours of this morning, a seven-year-old boy has sadly passed away.”

“Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he tragically died at the scene.”

This is a truly devastating outcome.”

“I have no doubt that the people of Elswick and Benwell, and our wider region, will want to join me in extending their thoughts and condolences to family and friends. The loss and pain they must be suffering is unimaginable.”

Family members of the seven-year-old have been paying respect to him on social media, the Metro said.

They state that Archie’s aunt described him as “the most beautiful, funny, & caring little boy” in a social media post, saying that his name “deserves to be shouted from the rooftops.”

Furthermore, they claim that a neighbor described the seven-year-old as a “lovely lad” who “everyone knew.”

One house was nearly totally demolished, according to drone footage of the explosion-affected homes, while nearby homes were also seriously damaged.

The explosion also caused several other people to be evacuated from their homes.
