Lila was a housewife, as her husband Dylan wanted her to be. For a while, she was okay with it. But as she got bored and felt lonely after some time, she decided to find a job at her husband’s office.
She wanted to be with her husband, as she started to feel disconnected.

She was hired as a receptionist at the company. She was nervous for her first day at work. She lied to her husband that she had a doctor appointment to surprise him.
When she was at the company, Sue greeted her and showed her table.
After she walked Lila around the offices, she asked that does she know anyone with the last name Carter.
She asked if Sue was talking about Dylan Carter, because she is his wife.
Sue stopped smiling as she said, “No, his wife died a year ago. It was tragic. He took several weeks off to cope.”

“I’m sorry, what?”
A year ago Dylan did take a break, but it was for a long business trip he went. Lila’s heart skipped a beat with what she just heard.
Then the office door got opened, and Dylan appeared with his boss, Rachel, while holding hands. They were looking like the perfect couple. Lila petrified.
He was in a relationship with his boss for a year. That day the CEO of the company was going to have a meeting. Lila decided to talk in there.
When the meeting started, Lila standup and wanted to talk. When Dylan saw her, he went pale as if he saw a ghost. Actually, he did in a way.
“Do you believe in ghosts?” Lila asked with a smile, “Because it looks like they exist, since I am the wife of this scumbag!”

Lila explained the whole situation about her husband, and how she was alive and well, while Dylan lied to everyone, and was actually having an affair with her boss.
Rachel swore that she thought Lila was dead, and that Dylan will be immediately fired. When the CEO of the company, Mr. Matthews learned what happened, he told Dylan that he will also be sued for his actions in their company.
Dylan not just lost his job and marriage, he was also facing with a big amount of compensation to pay too.
