Sally Field’s choice for her worst on-screen kiss in her lengthy career may come as a surprise to many.

I’ve always been in awe of Sally Field. She’s a legendary actress whose career has spanned decades, leaving a lasting impact on the film and television industry. Even at 76, she continues to captivate audiences with her unforgettable performances, many of which feature touching romantic scenes.

Over the years, Sally has shared plenty of on-screen kisses. While she was initially reluctant to share details, she eventually revealed which one stood out as her least favorite, describing the experience as less than ideal.

Sally Field is universally recognized as one of the most skilled and adaptable actors of her time. Her extraordinary career in Hollywood has earned her a place in the hearts of many. Whether it’s film or television, she has delivered countless iconic roles.

One performance that truly resonates is her portrayal in *Steel Magnolias*. In that film, Sally powerfully depicts a woman navigating love, heartache, and grief. Her raw, emotional delivery in the film’s funeral scene remains unforgettable, showcasing her immense talent and leaving an indelible mark on all who watched.

Sally Field, a beloved icon known for her roles in popular films and television shows such as “Erin Brockovich,” “The Flying Nun,” “Gidget,” “Forrest Gump,” and “Smokey and the Bandit,” continues to be active in the industry. Born into a working-class family in Pasadena, California, her early life was marked by challenges, including alleged abuse from her stepfather and a secret abortion at the age of seventeen. Despite these hardships, Field has always been recognized for her kindness and humility.

At 76, Sally remains committed to her craft, recently portraying Janice in the 2020 series “Dispatches From Elsewhere” and playing Jessie Buss in the 2022 hit series “Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty,” which chronicles the lives of the Los Angeles Lakers during the 1980s.

In a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” Field shared a humorous anecdote about her worst on-screen kiss. When prompted by Cohen, she playfully hesitated before revealing that it was actor Burt Reynolds, her former boyfriend. Field explained that during the filming of “Smokey and the Bandit,” she had to “look the other way” because Reynolds had a tendency to “drool” during their scenes together.

The two stars began dating in 1977 while working on the film and were together for nearly five years. In his memoir, “But Enough About Me,” Reynolds reflected on their relationship, expressing regret over how things ended. Field, however, explained in a March interview with Variety that she distanced herself from him in the last three decades of his life, stating, “He was not someone I could be around…I just didn’t want to handle that.”
