Dogs are loyal creatures that are often referred to as man’s best friend. These loyal animals have frequently been found living alongside missing children who have been reported missing. Sadie is a thirteen-year-old Border Collie-Dalmatian-Shepherd mix who was adopted by the Beaulieu family when she was eight weeks old. The father, however, died suddenly, which obviously devastated her. Julia Beaulieu explains that when rescue workers stopped trying to resuscitate her husband, her puppy laid down next to him and nudged his hand with her snout. Julia was struggling to cope with the sudden loss of her husband, and it seemed like Sadie was having a hard time too.
She stared out the window, waiting for her owner to pull into the driveway like she always did. Sadie lost 10 pounds as she was unable to eat for nearly ten days. Julia decided to bring Sadie along for her husband’s memorial service as she wanted her to be able to say goodbye in person. As Sadie walked with Julia to the casket, she stood on her hind legs and peered inside. The dog had a confused look on her face and stayed by Julia’s side the entire time.
Jeremy May of Elements Cremation, who organized the memorial service, said pets are family and more people should bring their four-legged friends to ceremonies. A photo was shared to show how beautiful the bond is between humans and dogs. “This photo touched us so deeply at Elements Cremation, Pre-Planning & Funeral and we and the family want to share it with you. This photo captures a special moment between a man, his wife and their best friend.
She had recently lost her beloved husband to a sudden heart attack and wanted to see him one last time to say goodbye… After the death, she showed signs of depression, refusing to eat and waiting for him to come home every day. The woman believed… When they returned home after the memorial service, Sadie walked through the door of her home and ate her first meal. Apparently the dog got the closure she needed by saying goodbye at the ceremony. What a beautiful story, please SHARE this lovely story with your friends and family.
