Celine Dion stands on stage and says to the audience, “there’s a George Harrison song I’ve wanted to sing forever.” She then invites Joe Walsh to the stage and what the duo produced that night was simply breathtaking. The unlikely duo really put on a show to remember in this special tribute duet that George Harrison would have been proud of. Watch this beautiful duet below
Celine Dion and Joe Walsh made an odd couple when they co-starred in Dion’s 2008 live TV special, “Celine Dion: That’s Just The Woman In Me.” Multi-instrumentalist Joe Walsh is more renowned for his guitar work with the rock group The Eagles, while Canadian singer-songwriter Celine Dion is most recognized for her melancholic, lovely ballads like “My Heart Will Go On” and “Think Twice.” In short, the two were very different from one another.
But in the end, the two were a marriage made in heaven, creating a very delicate version of the George Harrison song “Something,” which The Beatles released as a double A-side in 1969. With a feminine touch and a careless elegance that made her look practically divine, Celine echoed Shirley Bassey’s previous performance of the song. Celine had on lovely thigh-high black boots and a fluffy white dress.
