1. Born Outside the U.S.
Melania is the second First Lady in U.S. history to be born outside the United States. She was born in Slovenia. The only other foreign-born First Lady was Louisa Catherine Adams, wife of John Quincy Adams, the sixth President of the United States, who was born in England.
