This beloved star from the ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ made a rare appearance in Hollywood. The actress is 70 years old now

Catherine Bach, the iconic actress from The Dukes of Hazzard, made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles recently.

The beloved star, who turned 70 in March, opted for a casual and chic all-black outfit during her outing. She was spotted visiting Just Food for Dogs to pick up pet supplies.

The ‘70s television legend sported a black long-sleeve top paired with black leggings and sandals. She completed the look with a crossbody bag and stylish black sunglasses, which she casually hooked onto the neckline of her shirt. Despite her low-key appearance, Catherine continues to captivate fans with her timeless charm and connection to her iconic role.

Known for her portrayal of Daisy Duke, Catherine revealed that she still occasionally wears her famous daisy duke shorts. In an interview, she teased that fans might catch a glimpse of her rocking the legendary wardrobe piece in the future.

Reflecting on how she landed the role of Daisy Duke, Catherine shared a fascinating story during a 2019 interview with Fox News Digital. Initially hesitant to audition, she believed the producers were only considering her as a favor to her husband. “They had been searching for someone to play Daisy Duke for over a year,” Catherine recalled. “They scouted New York, Chicago, Atlanta, and California, but still hadn’t found the right fit. When I was approached, I didn’t think I stood a chance.”

Catherine initially planned to skip the audition, but a friend encouraged her to reconsider. “I was at this little Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills with my girlfriend, who had directed my one-act play. I told her about the audition and how I didn’t think it was worth going. She said, ‘It’s Warner Bros. You never know who you’ll meet on the way in or out. Just go!’ So, I decided to give it a shot.”

Her first audition left a lasting impression, ultimately securing her the role that would define her career. From hesitations to a life-changing opportunity, Catherine’s journey to becoming Daisy Duke remains an inspiring tale for aspiring actors everywhere.
