She took the blame for her beloved, and when she got out, a worse blow awaited her – “Kovalyova, you’re released.”

Nastya had spent five long years in prison, paying for a crime she did not commit. When she was finally released, the first thing she wanted was to find Gleb, the man she had loved and trusted. But as she approached the place where he used to live, she was struck by the emptiness of it all. Gleb had not been there to meet her. It had been over a year since he last visited.

She had first met Gleb half a year before those fateful events. He was a notary who helped her with the inheritance after her grandmother’s death. Gleb was charming and thoughtful, and Nastya quickly fell in love. They shared dreams of starting a business together, and Gleb often spoke about their plans for the future. Their relationship had seemed perfect. But everything began to crumble when they sold her inherited apartment to fund the business. One night, they encountered a drunk man on the street. In a panic, Gleb pushed the man, who fell and died. Gleb convinced Nastya to take the blame, assuring her that everything would be fine. She did, believing their future depended on it.

When the court sentenced her to seven years, Gleb promised to help. He visited her often, telling her that the business was thriving and that he was working on an appeal. But as time passed, his visits became fewer, and soon, he stopped coming altogether. When she was finally released, Nastya rushed to Gleb’s apartment, but a strange man answered the door. He claimed to have bought the place years ago and didn’t know anyone named Gleb. Desperate for answers, Nastya went to a neighbor who confirmed that Gleb had sold the apartment and, shockingly, had died.

The discovery left Nastya reeling. She sought answers and was led to a cemetery, where she found a grave with Gleb’s name on it. But when she arrived, a young boy revealed that the grave was empty. The boy, a homeless child, told her that Gleb had faked his death, with a woman by his side, and had planned to disappear with her inheritance money. Everything Gleb had told her was a lie.

Nastya was heartbroken, but as she pieced together the truth, she also realized how much she had changed. She couldn’t undo the past, but she could take control of her future. With the help of Vladimir, a kind man who had been quietly supporting her, she decided to seek justice. They went to the courthouse, where Gleb and his accomplice Sonya were arrested. All the lies were exposed.

Later, as Nastya sat with Vladimir in a café, she found solace in his company. She had lost so much, but through it all, she had gained a new sense of strength. As they left the café, Vladimir asked her if she wanted to celebrate. But Nastya’s heart was with Egor, a homeless boy who had come into her life. She couldn’t leave him alone.

Months later, at her wedding, Nastya and Vladimir stood together, watching Egor pinch himself, still in disbelief that he now had a family. As they moved forward, Nastya knew that her strength wasn’t defined by the betrayal of Gleb, but by her ability to heal and love again. She had found a new purpose in life, and nothing would take that away.
