Regarding his mother’s birthday and his expectant wife, a man asked for assistance on Reddit. He clarified that his seven-month-pregnant wife was experiencing discomfort and was especially sensitive because it was his mother’s birthday.

On her birthday, the man proposed to take his mother out to supper; she chose a restaurant that was forty minutes away by car. The man informed his mother that he didn’t want to go so far because his wife found it difficult to drive lengthy distances.

Additionally, he told his mother that his wife couldn’t eat shellfish and could only eat a small portion of the menu because the restaurant served seafood. Then he asked his mom if she would pick a restaurant that was close by.

The man’s mother declined, stating that the best seafood eateries were located further away. The man then advised his mother to select a different meal, pointing out that they had Hibachi and Mexican food nearby, both of which he knew his mother enjoyed.

After getting upset, the man’s mother told him that his wife may stay at home while they went to supper. The fact that a grown woman couldn’t spend a few hours at home by herself while her husband went out to dinner startled her.

His mother yelled at him to forget about it and told him that her birthday was not about his wife after he informed her that his wife wouldn’t be pregnant forever and asked her to work with them. In response, the man said, “My wife comes first.”
