Freddie Combs, a contestant on Simon Cowell’s second season of The X Factor in the United States, died at the age of 49. He was first featured on the TLC series Ton of Love in 2010 and succeeded in losing weight to a very trim 540 pounds.

He was quickly taken out of the running.

Kay Combs expressed her thankfulness to have been his spouse for 25 years and her status as his closest friend.
