Enter a distinctive one-bedroom apartment in Stockholm with a large balcony that’s ideal for alfresco dining. The apartment, which belongs to a lady in her forties, has antique features like old doors and furnishings that give it a 1938 feel. The interior, with its modest bathroom, lovely kitchen, and comfortable sitting space, radiates elegance despite its small size. The large balcony is a highlight of this chic city apartment that provides a calm haven. How do you feel about this unique space?

The apartment is housed in a 1938-built home. at the uppermost level of a four-story structure.
Despite the owner’s apparent riches (at least indicated by the expensive William Morris wallpaper), the apartment still has several vintage features, such as an antique doorbell, original doors, and a 1940s headset.

Here, not even the locks and keys have been altered in decades.
The layout of the apartment is laconic. In the vein of the Swedes, who are not as fixated on their native Ikea as they are on fashion. The living room and kitchen were once separated by a wall. In the new millennium, it was destroyed. The apartment as-is was purchased by the present owner.

The hallway looks into the room. The owner purposefully placed drapes to add coziness and, if needed, to obscure the bedroom’s view.
In the corner, there is a fireplace (which is operational, but it is rarely lit).

This is the little kitchen, big enough to accommodate just the refrigerator, sink, and a few kitchen cabinets. William Morris wallpaper and printed posters (a replica of one of Henri Matisse’s most well-known pieces hangs beside the refrigerator) set the mood in the kitchen.

However, the worktop and apron’s tiles are already rather modern.
However, the window fixtures are outdated.

Separating the kitchen from the hallway is a tiny bar counter that serves many purposes simultaneously. There are cabinets to store utensils on the kitchen side. Books beneath the bar counter on the hallway side.A little dining table suffices for the owner, who is a single person. Additionally, she may always plan events on the patio in case she has people over (I’ll demonstrate it later).

These ceramic pots are really lovely!
Less fortunate are the neighbors, who only have little balconies.

This unique studio/one-bedroom has an enormous deck.
