Bobby was a devoted father to his 14-year-old daughter, Mia. Lately, he’d noticed Mia acting strangely—late-night calls, closed-door conversations, and a lingering cigarette smell in her room. One day, while searching for a lighter, Bobby stumbled upon a hidden stash of expensive gifts: branded perfumes, a smartwatch, and a diamond bracelet. Along with these, he found a photograph of an older man and a note about a café meeting.
The note read, “My dear Mia, I’m excited about our meeting. I hope this café has a vegan menu, but it’s you I’m really looking forward to. See you soon 🙂 Love, V.”
Shocked, Bobby recognized the man as being much older than Mia. Enraged, he searched for vegan cafés in town and decided to follow Mia discreetly. At the café, he saw Mia alone by the window. Her phone buzzed with notifications, and she smiled each time, which stung Bobby, reminding him of how distant Mia had become.
Weeks earlier, during a routine checkup, a new doctor revealed to Mrs. Davis that Mia’s blood type didn’t match Bobby’s, suggesting he might not be her biological father. Mrs. Davis, nervous, asked Mia to wait until they were home to discuss it. Later, Mrs. Davis confessed to Mia that Bobby wasn’t her biological father. Mia’s real father was a man named Victor, whom Mrs. Davis had met during a brief affair years ago.
Mia, eager to learn about Victor, found his social media profile and contacted him. Victor, now married to his partner, was surprised to learn about Mia and agreed to meet her. He sent Mia a gift box, including a watch and other expensive items.
On the day of their meeting, Bobby, disguised in a hoodie and cap, watched from a corner table. When Victor arrived and hugged Mia, Bobby’s rage exploded. He shouted, “WHAT THE HELL’S GOING ON HERE?” and attacked Victor, breaking his tooth and beating him severely.
Mia screamed for Bobby to stop, but he was uncontrollable. The café patrons intervened as Victor lay bleeding. Bobby was handcuffed and taken away by the police. As paramedics took Victor to the hospital, Mia cradled him, calling him ‘Dad,’ which left Bobby in disbelief.
At the hospital, Bobby apologized to Victor, explaining his actions were driven by his love for Mia. Mrs. Davis, saddened, told Bobby that their family had been irreparably damaged. Bobby, heartbroken, told Mia he would always love her and keep the door open for her. As he left with the sheriff, Mia and Mrs. Davis were left to grapple with the aftermath of the day’s events.
