Man Constantly Mocks Unemployed Wife for Doing Nothing, Finds a Note after Ambulance Takes Her Away

When Shannon Miles welcomed her first daughter, Claire, she thought she could manage both work and household responsibilities. She succeeded initially but found things more difficult after giving birth to twins, Lucas and Justin.

Raising three children while working was exhausting, leading to mistakes at home, like burning breakfast or leaving the iron on. Tired of seeing what he perceived as Shannon’s incompetency, Martin grew impatient. He ordered Shannon to quit her job and focus on the children full-time, which she reluctantly did.

However, after Shannon became a stay-at-home mom, Martin’s frustration increased. He blamed her for any problems, whether dirty dishes, scattered toys, or over-salted food. Martin’s criticism grew harsher, and he often mocked Shannon, questioning her abilities and decisions.

One night, as Shannon struggled to manage the household duties while trying to put the babies to sleep, Martin’s anger boiled over. He berated Shannon for not completing tasks to his satisfaction, including washing dishes despite her exhaustion.

As Shannon tried to explain her fatigue and lack of time for herself, she suddenly felt dizzy and collapsed. Martin, initially dismissive, grew concerned when Shannon remained unresponsive. He called 911 and had her taken to the hospital, where doctors determined she had collapsed from exhaustion.

Later, as Martin cleaned up the broken vase from the incident, he discovered Shannon’s detailed to-do list. The list showed her packed schedule from early morning until late at night, revealing how overwhelmed she had been.

Realizing the extent of Shannon’s workload, Martin took a leave of absence to handle household chores himself. He struggled to manage even part of her list, gaining a new perspective on her daily responsibilities.

Martin visited Shannon in the hospital with flowers and apologized for his previous behavior. He acknowledged his mistakes and expressed his love and regret. Shannon was surprised but appreciative of the change.

From then on, Martin hired a nanny to assist Shannon and actively participated in household tasks, especially on weekends. He recognized the difficulty of being a homemaker and worked to support Shannon in a more meaningful way.
